Cholesterol??

After my first cycle (primo/winnie) my cholesterol level shot from 132 to 186. I have just done another cycle with test cyp and eq. I am scared to find out how bad it will be this time. At any rate, what I am wondering is if anyone tried those cholesterol lower meds and whether that helped with this unfortunate side effect.

Well, winny is the worst for your cholesterol. There was a post about this yesterday or something.

186 is not that bad--it could be a lot worse, but does need to drop by about 30. What's more important is your ratio of HDL to LDL. Any idea what it is?

The statin drugs such as Lipitor work by blocking HMG reductase conversion of cholesterols (competitive inhibition). They are very effective in people who have excess amounts of this enzyme. If you don't, then it is worthless. There are other drugs out there that do different things. Do a little research and ask your doc (study ahead of time because sometimes they are not up to date on the latest drugs).

Don't know of their effects with gear-related cholesterol.

what was your dosage of winny? and for how many weeks? Did you get your hdl levels?
