Chin bar problem

I've been using the chinbar for a little while now, but I get these chunks coming off the inside of my hands from rubbing on the bar. It's annoying because my hands keep slipping on the bar now.

I tried gloves but their too thick for my smallish hands, and they slip.

Any advice?

Have you tried chalk, or straps?
 
Gloves are for people who do smith machine squats, grow some calluses (and a pair) and use chalk. You will have thicker stronger hands very fast.
