Chest Muscle Imbalance [help]

Hi guys, i hope you guys can help me out. I am right handed and as the topic title says, i think you have an idea already on what i am gona talk about. My left chest is practically imbalance with my right. I find that i have to stop barbells immediately and swith to dumbbells. However, when doing dumbell presses, i do not feel that much of my chest being involved but the triceps. Even if i try maintaining good form, it seems that triceps just tires off before i can much feel at my chest. I am lost in what to do.

What do you guys think i should do to get my left chest in par with my right?

Should i do
-Single dumbell presses (but as you know i do not get much feel in this exercise on my chest)
-Flyes? (it is a lil hard to balance myself on the bench with this if i have 1 dumbbell in my hand and my right not holding anything)
-Machine Flyes?

I need help as i am lost! I am sure some of you out there might have muscle imbalances before (who doesnt?) but i think mine is affecting my training. What do you guys normally do? Right now all i do is dumbell exercises and its getting quite boring! I hope somebody can help me in sorting with my chest muscle imbalance problem! Thanks!

Maybe try a pre-exhaustive excercise suck as machine flys, that way when you hit the presses/dumbell flys, your chest will be tiring with your tris. As for the uneven part, give it a couple months of real ULTRA strict form practicing a good squeeze, maybe lower your weight on the chest exercises a bit, im sure it will come up/even out in time.

hey bob thanks for the reply! Thanks for the tip on pre-exhaustion! As for the other tip, do you mean that i continue doing the presses(two dumbells) with a lower weight or i work the left chest(unilaterally) with a lower weight to let it catch up, its real tough doing presses with only 1 hand...i find that i am balancing myself on the bench more than pressing.

Make sure that you are doing incline presses and flyes. When doing the incline DB presses make sure to turn your hands so that they are facing each other, and bring the weights together squeezing your pecs. I also think that as your chest grows the imbalance that you see will not be as noticable.
