talk to me about a career with a BS in chemistry. i know you need a MS to get a good job but what are the prospects for a BS in chem?

i dont know. pharmaceuticals, industry, manufacturing. I dont know for sure, whereever the jobs are. id rather not work in academia though, the wages are only about $13/hr in academia. why get a B.S. degree if you're only going to make 2x the minimum wage?

Weren't you the one complaining about your science classes or contemplating a BA in science?

If you don't like science, stay away from chemistry. If you love it and you wish to go into pharmaceutical or biological field, then organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or biochemistry are the appropriate fields.

i was only considering a BA because i thought i'd graduate faster. Now that i look at the schedule of classes offered i would graduate at essentially the same time with either program. Id prefer a BS over a BA as the long term prospects are better.
