Check this lawsuit out....

There is a Honda plant in a nearby town and this article just came out in the paper. I don't see the merit of this lawsuit although Honda must have seen it.

What am I missing here?

Honda of South Carolina Manufacturing Inc. will pay a $2 million settlement to employees and temporary workers who complained that the company should have paid them for the time it took to prepare for work.

Honda employees filed the class action lawsuit in Florence. The suit asked Honda to pay workers overtime for time spent changing into and out of uniforms at the Timmonsville plant from July 1, 2001, to July 31, 2003. It takes 7.3 minutes to change each shift. The average settlement is $750.

Maybe I'm just playing devils advocate.... but when I punch in I should be ready to work. That means computer on, and ready to go. Not that I show up for work and clock in then start getting ready.

If you don't like the job or the suits/uniforms you gotta wear get a diff job. otherwise be ready to work when you clock in!!

When running a race, you dont start stretching once the gun goes off. You prepare beforehand, and work when its time to work.
