Most workout software on the market simply acts as a database for your information. That's a nice feature, but it's not very functional--after all, you could do the same thing using a simple notebook or a spreadsheet.

IronTrainer 2, however, puts a lot more power at your fingertips. In addition to tracking every detail of your training, IronTrainer 2 also provides you with tools to plan new workout routines, monitor your strength levels, set new goals, and perform the kind of in-depth training analysis used by professional strength coaches.

With IronTrainer 2 you can schedule your workouts in advance, print them to take with you to the gym, and then quickly and easily record your results. IronTrainer 2 does the rest, calculating your strength gains, 1 rep maxes, training volume, and more. IronTrainer 2's unique Analysis Module ties together all the data you enter in the program, including Cardio, Diet, Body Weight, Recovery, and Supplements, to put together a complete picture of how effective your training strategy really is. You'll be able to determine:

-The optimal combination of sets, reps, frequency, and intensity to reach your goals of increased strength or muscle size;

-The effectiveness and impact of your diet and cardio training;

-The effectiveness and impact of your supplementation;

-Areas to adjust to fix strength imbalances or improve lagging body parts;

-Correlations between your recovery state and your workout performance;
...and much more!

Hello,

My name is PJ and I am the lead developer for the IronTrainer Software mentioned above. I'll be available on this board for the next few weeks, so if anyone has any questions or feedback about the software, you can post them here on this thread and I would be happy to respond.

I am particularly interested in feedback from this community, since this software has been really designed with weight-training and bodybuilding in mind. Feel free to share your thoughts or any needs that we can address (we are constantly working on updates and improvements).

You can also chat with me via our Support Forum at www.psworkshop.com/forums as well as by e-mail at [email protected]

I look forward to speaking with the members of this board!

Best Regards, PJ

My training partner and I bought and like it so far. It takes about an hour or so to figure out how to put your workouts in the templates or at least it did for me. I am anal and like to track everything so it works great for me. For those of you who just wing it in the gym it probably would be a waste of your money. I think though, if you try tracking your diet and training you will be able to make the most out of your workouts and this makes it easier to do just that.

FREE? Very few things in this life are for free.

Free isn't always good... Some things are worth the Money, this is one of them!

I ordered it today and I like it so far. It's not hard to figure out, and it looks like I will be able to keep better track of my workouts and progress.

The only problem I have is it gives me this error sometimes. Maybe it has to do with windows ME?

Error Number : 372
Description : Failed to load control 'GridEX' from GRIDEX20.OCX. Your version of GRIDEX20.OCX may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application.
Version : 2.1.1
Edition : Personal
Module Name : frmDiet
Procedure Name : Form_Initialize
Line Number : 101
Windows OS : Windows ME

Hi big4life!

Glad you like the program! As for the error message, if you are only getting it once in a while, I strongly suspect it is during times when your system is running low on free memory. This can happen if you try to run too many other programs at the same time as IronTrainer, or if your PC has been running for a while without a reboot (unfortunately Windows 98/Me tends to leak memory over time). So, either rebooting or closing other programs that are open should take care of the problem. Thanks for the feedback! :)

Best Regards,

PJ
