We have been feeding these guys for almost 1 year now. Someone must have released a pet Parakeete out because there is a small blue Parakette that the Parrots allow to hang out with them. It's neat how they allow the little guy to eat next to them. I hand fed the parakette yesterday. I will try to get a picture with all of them together

That is so cool... To have them flying
around in your back yard..

Birds are great company..

I had an African Gray for 10 years..
We use to let her fly around the house..

I also use to raise Parakeets. It is so sweet to be able
to feed a little baby bird. If you continue to hand feed them
they will think you are their mom.. LOL :)

I still have a
Geeen Cheek Conyar Parrot (Buddy)
He was a hand feed baby..
He will lay upside down in your hand..
You can pet him under his wings.

Good Luck with the birds..
Hope they stay around for a long time.

The African Greys always scared me with the hissing.
My dad had two cockatiels and they are really cute... well, one is dead now, and the other is retarded because the owner before us was a cheap colloege student that only fed him canary seed and he literally is dead in the brain now.

parakeets are a crap shoot - some are so cute and have tons of personality and seem smart - others are just skittish little crack addicts that make a lot of noise.

parrots are very smart and live for a long time - they cost a ton too - so if you get one, you really have to know that you are in it for the long haul and even have someone to give them to that you trust them with once you die.
