Cheating: More strict whilst cutting or bulking??

i was just wondering if you guys thought it was more important to be strict about dieting while cutting or bulking......in reference to foods with no nutrition.....ie...Ice cream, chocolate, pizza, fast food....
 
I always eat clean whether bulking or cutting. IMO theres a difference between putting on mass and getting fat.
 
if you are skinnier trying to bulk you can cheat cheat cheat, take in as many cals as pos. if you are endomorph trying to cut a strict diet is obivously what you want .It comes down to body types.
 
IMO cheating is some of the fun in bulking.

fast food at least 5 times EW while bulking, but i'm an ecto so probably a bit less sensitive
 
What about for guys like me? I have a tad of endo in me but I am mostly meso. I dont get fat when I bulk but I can often gain considerable lean muscle mass. Cutting will be harder for me which is why I have a little endo in me I think.

For cheating like snack wise if im hungry ill have a bowl of cereal or a bowl of plain yogurt with a pinch of splenda in it and blueberries in it like a half hour after my meal if im still quite hungry. Are things like that ok? I try and stay away from the fast food unless I am in a pinch but I just wanna make sure those little cheat snacks or something arent gunna hurt me too much.
 
i agree.....strict while cutting.....but man you consider a bowl of cereal cheating????? if thats the case your fine man.....im talking about some ice creak cookie dough and some cookies a couple times a week.....in my opinion.....test and winstrol while bulking will keep bodyfat off.....thats if youre doing cardio as well

if bulking its not as bad,,,but if going for all out fat loss,,not a good idea. one cheat day per week will help boost metabolism though.

I think 1 cheat meal a week is all one should need..one time to treat yourself...
 
Depends on what you consider cheating. During a bulk, ice cream, cake, pizza, now thats cheating. When I'm cutting even a turkey sandwich on wheat bread w/ non fat italian dressing is cheating. I think there is a lot of confusion about cheat meals. People tend to have this mindframe that they have to eat junk to get muscle and they have to cheat multiple times/wk to accomplish their goal of getting bigger. Cheating is nothing more to me than an excessive calorie meal which consists of an abundance of either fat/carbs that a normal bodybuilding diet would not consist of. 3 cups of pasta, a couple slices of pizza, a cheeseburger, etc. You are not benefiting from the actual junk food in itself, however the fats.carbs in it which shocks your body and gives you more energy and/or recovery.
