When I'm on a carb-restrictive diet, it's VERY carb restrictive. Not quite the Atkins thing, but since I keep the fat low-none.... it kinda evens out the few carbs I do have. I have one small bowl of oatmeal for breakfast.... that's all the carbs I have all day, except for one scoop of N-large post-workout.
My question is about carbing up, or cheating.... kinda.
Occasionally I wanna increase my carb intake to boost my metabolism a little....
.... would it be better to do this by eating one meal with lots of increased carbs, like a big bowl of oatmeal instead of a small one....
.... or would it be better to increase my carb intake slightly over the entire day? Like add a slice of wholemeal bread here and there?
My brain is stupid, so I don't know what I'm saying.... and it's not coming out right.
But what I'm asking, is.... to boost metabolism, should I increase my carbs all at once in one meal, or spread it out?
