Cheapest protein intake

eggs are great, protein powder is also a very good idea - avoid soy protein and try to get whey if you can afford it.
Ground beef/turkey and scrambled eggs is a dish that got me through some low $$ times.
Peanut butter is a bad idea incidentally - read the lable.

In Virginia cans of tuna run 33-50cents and each can has 32g P/ 0 carbs/2.5 f. Not bad, Im sitting on about 80 cans of it in my room. That should last me for about a week or so. Im in college so I get it as cheap as I can....Cant you get something wrong with you if you eat too much tuna? I am gonna find out soon enough...

I like 100% Whey from Optimum Nutrition. You can get it from www.dpsnutrition.com for about 25 bucks and you get about 1700 grams of protein in the 5 lb. container. Works out to about 1.5 cents a gram which is about as cheap as TUNA and quicker to ingest and absorb.

Out here in San Diego ---there a tons of diff-grocery outlets so there are always sales going on---I just picked up 20 pounds of boneless-skinless chicken breast for 1.77 a pound
actually all-natural peanut butter is a good choice (esp-on a low carb diet) use this and flax oil and/or olive oil

get the lean body protien meal supplements. it is about 40-50 dollars a box. the box has 20 packets in them. If you do your own shopping it can be cheeper because its only about $2-2.50 a pack which is a full meal. I dont know about you but I eat more than $2 in food when I eat. the pack has about 48g of whey protien and they are also avalable in low carb (for the cut people). they tast really good and are a good source of whey.
