Changing needles

Who here changes the needle when withdrawing? So a new needle for withdraw, then change the needle for injection.

I never did this with my last cycle, and I hear we should be doing it. Why? If the needle is sterile, what's the point? As long as I use an alcohol swab on the amp to make sure it's clean before any part of the needle touches it when withdrawing.

EH AMGETR......

It's all dependant on your personal preference. I double dip all the time and I've never had any abcesses.......I think some people go the extreme with the shit....as if they can sterilize everything to the utmost, which is next to impossible.....seeing as how the air holds microbes which get on everything...

Clean the area with an alcohol swab and then stick....that's it........

Word, that's what I was doing and no issues. But then I read a thread here about someone not cleaning the amp, and ended up getting an infection. I think if I clean the injection site, the amp, then withdraw and inject with the same needle I will be fine.

Thanks for the advice bro, karma to you.

I have also been guilty of doing the same as Division and have never had
any abcesses or infection come up.

I used to use the same needle to draw with, then a fresh one to shoot. I made a thread a couple of weeks back about an infection that I got in my quad. I had to have an IV and be on antibiotics for almost two weeks. The only thing that I can think that it could have been was my drawing needle. I had been using those bottles for about about 2 weeks and had taken at least 4 shots out of each, so I know it wasn't the gear. Needles are too damn cheap for me to take that chance again.

I change needles when I Draw from multi-dose bottles. You'd be surprised how much those rubber stoppers dull a pin after only one poke! I also draw with a larger diameter then I inject with a smaller one. Sure it's more fucking around, but it's safer and needles are fucking dirt cheap bros

I change neddles just for the only reason that I like my needles sharp. once you withdraw the needle gets dull. IMO

I agree, a fresh needle is way sharper than one that has been stuck through rubber. I always use 2 fresh needles when injecting.

definitely easier to draw with a bigger pin. Also, if youre like me, when I draw from an amp, I try and get every last drop. That needle rubbing against the glass is making it extremely dull.

You act like it's such a bad thing........usually I'm very clean, but generally I just swab with a pad and go to town....

stick & move.......stick & move....

I use a 18or 20g to draw and a 25 to shoot,so I switch for that purpose, especially with prop and not wanting anymore scar tissue
