Cool thing is, I have most of the classes I need already out of the way. Of course, my computer degree won't help much

I see a counselor this morning. Summer session starts June 9. I'm excited!

There is currently a shortage of nurses, especially male nurses, and its predicted that the demand will only increase over the next 20 years. For this reason, overtime is usually available if you want it.

Plus, nurses typically get the best benefits, and the pay is pretty good.

There are nurses who can make $1000 a shift in some cities. Unlimited opportunity for you to make money and travel etc.

wages vary with where you work, so does stress level. I have a friend who i was talking to who said if you are willing to work in a hospital where all the nurses are on strike you can make some good money, lik $1000 a day. But i don't know if i'd be willing to do that myself. Strike breaking. Then again, its $85 an hour.

Nursing isn't all smiles and sunshine. I know quite a few nurses and I would suggest not being a floor nurse but to go into a specialty. Floor nurses have to put up with asshole patients/doctors, get worked to death (15 minute break to eat lunch over the sink during a 12 hour shift), and you're wiping assholes for a living. While work conditions vary from hospital to hospital, union one's having the best work conditions, the one constant is wiping assholes for a living.
