Cell phone use in school deemed more important than learning

Children not wishing to learn by repeatedly incurring infractions for mobile phone usage in class should simply be segregated from the other pupils in a manner that should have an adverse effect on their education if need be.

Yes darn 3rd graders getting cellphones from mommy and daddy as "prizes" for good behavior or grades and they totally abuse it.... and there'd no way to limit SMS and calls here... it's not like you can go to Walmart and get a crapy Tracfone

I've been employed at offices where EVERY EMPLOYEE had to drop their cellphones into a box on their way into the office and could only retrieve them at the end of the day.

If they didn't like it, they could find someplace else to work.

I am finding it difficult to believe that if such a policy can be enforced in an adult environment why it could not be similarly implemented in a younger environment.
