Ive got a simpel question... (oh and btw cardio in morning on empty stomach isn't an option for me). After finishing my workouts which usualy last 1- 1.5 hours should i CONSUME A CARB/PROTEIN SHAKE right away and then do my 45 minute cardio.....or should i automatically do the 45 minute cardioon empty stomach....and take the Pro/Carb shake after i finish the 45 minute cardio session????:confused:
Will i not be loosing muscle if i take the shake 45 minutes after completion of excdrcise..(meaning after working out and then doing cardio)... i mean if i take it right after workout then o will be burning that shake..on cardio and not fat corect?

I think you should drink 1/2 to a whole shake 30minutes before you start your workout routine. And then one 30 to 45 minutes after the completion of your cardio work. Just to help not waste muscle mass. But that's me.

Definitely have the shake after cardio. There should be a good hour to hour and half window after your workout, that you can have your shake. Since you are doing moderate cardio after the workout..I think you should be ok.

But in my opinion the best fat burning is during the weight training. So keep it intense and the 45 minute cardio after will supplement it.
 
My shcedule bro thats why it isnt an option..pluss i cant drive to gym 2 times a day..:) Thanks bros

I never do cardio after a workout was told that it kills your muscle growth. Then again i really do not ever do cardio but going to start going at 6am and running for 1/2 hour to get shreded. The guy I work out with is pretty knowledgealbe and sounds right it messes with the muscle break up
 
Cardio, whether it's before or after the workout is not the optimal time to do it, but drink the shake after the cardio. I'd drink it right after the cardio.
 
Hell yeah do it after the cardio. The 1-1.5 hr window is only an ESTIMATE (albeit a decent one) and consuming your shake after your cardio will help you burn a little more fat. You won't "sacrifice" as much mass as you might think doing it this way.
 
Back when I 1st stared dieting and such and joined the gym I'd work the muscles 1st then do cardio. Race home and have a shake. The muscles would be craving something and feeding it protien did wonders for me.
 
Hmm

Lift for 30-45mins do 30-45 mins of cardio, It is like 1hr 30mins. Then you can eat. If your eating good and right you usally go around 2-2 1/2 - 3 hrs bewteen meals anyway. Just have a huge protein/carb meal after the cardio, and another one alittle later,
