cardio before bedtime...catabolic?

well, yesterday i did 30 mins on the exercisebike before i went to bed.
didnt eat anything after, just 30 mins cardio, shower then bed.
about 40 mins before thou, i had had a large sallad and tuna.

when i woke up i had a different feeling, i felt like i had drop some water overnight and my stomach felt not so bloated as it can be.

maybe i should also inform that im on a keto diet, cutting.
so im NOT offseason now.

now i wonder, is it too catabolic?
is it catabolic?

and would this be a good way to keep in shape in offseason?

I personally wouldn't suggest it. When you lift at the gym (or wherever), I would just include your cardio immediately before or after. Just my .002.

after late-night cardio, I always have a whey shake or some egg whites before bed...something low carb, but still some calories.

after resistance

lets assume you had everything right... then went to sleep after 30 minutes, depending on your effort and range..

The amount of energy that was used, or rather the amount of glycogen that you burned was sufficient to exhaust stored supplies, the liver is then simply waiting for more food to be presented to resupply the body with glycogen.. if you expose the body at any time after glycogen expenditure to aerobic activity exceeding 50-65% (there is still some argument regarding level of exertion required to change from fat burning to catabolic consumption of muscle for energy ) the body will become catabolic meaning using muscle for energy..

Yes fat will be used, however muscle will be consumed as well..

however, sleep patterns have been shown to be altered if physical activity is too close to sleep periods, and we all know that during sleep is when we recover and grow..
