Someone told me to gain weight, it is best to drink liquid carbs after a work-out then about 1hr later suck up the protein..My question is what is a good tasteing carb drink? Thanks...

You friend is wrong. The best way to stimulate growth and recovery is to have a good post-workout shake right after you've finished lifting. This shake should include both carbs and protein. There is no sense in waiting and hour afterwards to take in the protein.

40-50 grams protein
60-90 grams carbs
5-10 grams creatine would be good too.
 
Is there any good drink that has all this in it besides having to drink one of all......i drink protein twice a day...and i drink creatine sometime...but the times vary because of how busy i stay.....thanks for your input

make your own bro.

a lot of people are going to chine in with protein factory but their shit is overpriced and unreliable.

go to supplementdirect.com and order whey protein concentrate and dextrose powder in bulk.

combine in the amounts shown above (but take into account that WPC is 80% protein) and put in powdered form in a sprts bottle. I add 1 tbsp of malted milk for flavor.

then when you're done with your w/o add water to the bottle, shake it up, and gulp it down.

voila instant growth!
 
liquid carbs: you can try dextrose + malto with water

there is a negligible amount of slow carbs in the powder. what you are looking for post w/o is FAST carbs that will spike your insulin. Dextrose is not only cheap it is the best sugar because it fills your muscle glycogen and not just your liver glycogen.

Fructose is an example of a sugar that is not as good (tho it will do in a pinch) because it just goes to your liver.
 
I've searched a few online store and came up with 0 results for Dextrose. Will some recommend me a site to use? Thanks and thanks for all the inputs also.

Ok..heres my problem. I have Whey Protein but its choclate flavor. I just ordered some AST creatine thats lime flavor. Well I don't think this is going to mix well together hehe...So which products should I get that will mix together well?

For the dextrose I was just going to get Pure Dextrose by Supplement Direct.....:rolleyes:

1) Should I get something like MHP Creatine Monohydate in the liquid form? I think I would prefer taking the caps better and then just drinking the whey protein and dextrose after my work-out. Does creatine pills work just as well? If so, are they ProLab creatine capsules 750mg good?

2) Anyone believe in the fat burning rubbing gel? If so, anyone know much about AB-SOLUTION PLUS or Klein Becker Dermalin APg?

3) Whats the BEST whey protein to get? I was thinking about getting Schwartz labs Pro Whey Isolate..Its chochlate flavor......Does the dextrose have any flavor and will it taste ok with the choclate protein?

At 750 MG you're talking 7 pills. Why not just get eh powder and mix it in with the whey/dextrose?

The only topical fat burner I would consider using is Lipoderm-Y. MAYBE Yohimburn.

As far as BEST protein, it's all voodoo and pseudoscience.

Whey is a fast protein suited for mroning and post workout. Isolate is 90% protein, concentrate is 80% yet isolate is about twice as much. You do the math.

I don't buy protein powders with milk protein, egg protein, casein, etc. I just drink milk, eat some egg whites, or some cottage cheese instead.

For me the best protein is supplementdirect because it's economical.

And as far as the one thing being chocolate and the other being lemon lime, here's how I would do it:

1) Drink the lime creatine.
2) Drink some water or wait a minute
3) Drink the choc. whey
4) Drink the dextrose.

This works well because if want to be real technical about it the creatine gets to the bloodstrem a little slower than the dextrose. SO you take the creatine a little earlier, then once you take the dex it's already in your blood, the insulin comes and BOOM, the creatine goes into the muscle.

You can also mix the dextrose in with the whey but since it's already been sweetened it's going to be sickly sweet.

IMO the easiest solution is to get plain powdered creatine (like $10 a kilo), plain whey, some kind of flavoring liek jello or crystal light, and dextrose, all in powder in the bottom of a sports bottle, then fill it up with water and shake and drink right after your workout.

The way you're doing it now you'll be broke and tired of the whole ritual soon.

Anthrax is right, liquid is worthless. Creatine is unstable in a liquid state. Don't take creatine capsules. Buy powder. If you're taking 15g of creatine, you'd have to take 20 750mg caps, fuck that. Think about trying to down a bunch of capsules after squats.

I thought your goal was to simply gain weight. If so, why would this matter?

If you're going to order online, there's several choices, but if you buy locally, try some Optimum Nutrition 100%Whey.

 
i got some samples of a gel creatine and bottled creatine and got better pumps and gains from it than cellt tech or any other powder.
 
I guess I'm going with:

AST Micronized Creatine, 1000 grams (no flavor) and Dextrose

and just mix all this with the choclate whey protein and drink after my work-outs! =)


In two weeks I'm fixing to start a cycle of:

d-bol (6 pills a day)
Super One +
19-Nor
Flax Seed Oil Caps


Whey protein twice a day..with one time being with Creatine and dextrose after work-out...Lets see what happens! Thanks for all the help guys.
 
you're mixing real steroids with PHs? Never heard of that.

Ghost, after what I have read on this thread I think you need to wait and learn a while. You need to hang out on the Ana and diet and Supps boards and read and ask and learn.

I mean, Flax Oil caps? If you'd done a simple search on here you'd know that the caps are next to useless. You want the pure Oil, Barlean's, fresh and bought at a store that keeps it in a fridge.

I'm not going to catch every thing you say on here so you need to do some searches bud.

Don't take this the wrong way. You have a lot of learning to do. Don't do something stupid.

Given your level of experience, "try it and see what happens" is not a good thing to do when you are talking about your body's hormones.

However, it's your body. I will not deny that my first experiences with PHs were "by the book."
 
went to suppliment direct before my PH cycle and got 11 lbs dext and 8 lbs malto and cost me 43 bucks shipped ( still have alot left too) ...i use 30g dext and 70 g malto 30 mins before and sip through workout....then when i am done 30-70 again plus 50 grmas or so of good whey.....then a decent MRP and then a real meal and by far the best....im am using swole ( 1 scoop x 2 a day) and i look better than ever and have 6-7% b.f.
