Carbs before bed?

chainsaw1 said:
If your bulking are carbs okay before bed, I am trying to get as much calories as possible.

Even when I bulk I don't do carbs pre-betime. Just Protein and Fats...

It is thought that carbs will blunt the growth hormone release, which is highest in deep sleep.

Insulin and GH act in opposition to each other, so if one is high i.e.) insulin from the pre-bed carb meal, then GH will be low.

Insulin and gh - growth hormone (somatropin) - act in opposition to each other, so if one is high i.e.) insulin from the pre-bed carb meal, then GH will be low.

What she said about the GH... But if you're that worrie, take some glutamine. In any case, your metabolism slows when sleeping but it doesn't completely shut off. If you still need to meet your cal requirements for the day and it's bedtime eat the calories.
