carb confusion

Exactly why does one want to carb load on certain days. Unless it is too lose weight fat and maintaine. But can one make a steady mass gain on an increase of 200 cals a day?

I understand that if one wants to burn fat-to eat low glycemic carbs and try to keep carbs under 100.

But exactly how many carbs does one need to build mass or at least maintaine.

I.e. A 200 body-builder would need 2400 cals a day to maintain weight and stay tight. So how many carbs would s/he need?

There is NO set amount carbs that ANYONE can pinpoint, everyone is DIFFERENT. I can grow on 150g carbs a day, and most people can't. Most need at least 200g carb, but it's also relative to your daily protein intake (protein being able to convert to glucose at a 56% rate).

If you're on a CKD, the carb load is saturated around certain days to increase anabolism and decrease catabolism. Other diets differ, depending on the diet itself.
