Carb and Fat seperation

Ok im not a scientist or anything but i've been doing some research and it seems that although Fat is the ideal source for energy at rest, when metabolizing energy, glucose is chosen over fat and thus the oxidation of lipids (fat) is hindered and fat is stored in adipose tissue rather than used for energy.

Ok so if when you eat carbs, they are chosen to be metabolised before fat does this mean that you shouldn't eat fat and carbs in the same meal but seperate them?

If so what is the ideal time between eating a carb meal and a fat meal?

I'm not sure whether having flax oil with my morning oats is a good idea now.

(carbs are centered mainly around trianing for me, so i only eat them if i've done cardio in the morning any how)

I have read that blood sugar levels rise and fall in 3-4 hour cycles, starting with a meal. If you are eating five or six small meals/day, then you can alternate carb/protein and fat/protein meals every 3-4 hours. If you plan on doing this, then I think you've have the right idea by keeping your carbs centered around training.

This whole topic is debatable. When it comes right down to it, research shows that total calorie balance is much more important than the micronutrient ratios. When you think about it, what difference does it make if you’re burning more fat, while at the same time you're also eating more fat? It’s whether you’re in a calorie debt/surplus that really matters. But if you’re trying to get as cut as possible, why not take advantage of every trick you can, even if the impact isn’t terribly significant? From what I’ve read, it appears that keeping fats and carbs separated might become more significant when you get down to a low BF% and you are very insulin sensitive. It could help when trying to drop the last couple of stubborn pounds.
