well, car is totaled.. its offical.

So now its off to find a new one. Sucky thing is im stiffed for 2k out of pocket. :mad:

Looking at a Benz, (used) but in very good condition. Im not a big car guru, and really its not biggie if i have to buy something slightly used. Gonna check out the Altima's again, the BMW and the Camry.

What are some good Used cars? Hold up really well, but no later than an 02?

You cant go wrong with a Toyota Camry IMO
Nice size and comfortable ridek and completely reliable.
Id stay away from the Benz or the BMW and the Camry is better than the Atima which is a Nissan.

Its all about your desire though, just not sure if its worth the risk of paying for a repair which you wont have to do with a Camry
 
Used ? Toyota, Mazda and Honda. Then it's up to you and what you prefer. Laugh all you want but I had a MX3 (V6 1.8L) and that thing was solid. Used Benz are crap. Repair bills are going to be a real nightmare.
 
went drive the benz... my god i love it. But still up in the air.

im a big fan of new honda accrods and prefer the design over some luxury cars.
 
The new Acura TL's are very nice for the price. Teh BMW 3 series are sweet rides as re the Mercedes. I was really impressed with the TL personally and if i were buying new thats probably what i would buy. There are alot of nice cars out there right now so have fun choosing.
 
You're retarded if you buy a Merc or a Beamer.

Maintenance costs are horrendous on those.

Looked at an altima today, identicle to the one I totaled. I'm out 2k for the one i totaled :( So depends on how much i can talk them down.

Still gonna shop a bit more, take a look at the camry, and maybe the maxima.

I don't want my note to go any higher than it is now.

My daughter wants a mommy van... yea right :rolleyes: lol

It was a C240 4dr, fully loaded, leather, sunroof, 6speed

If you had an Altima then I don't see why the new Maxima's are not at the top of your list. Probably one of the best sedans out there ten times better then an Altima.

Only drawback is that it's a front wheel drive, but then again if you're not a performance nut then it'll more then suffice. The Bose sound system is one of the best stock.

Ten times better? They're the same chassis with different engines and trim.

Altima and Maxima share the same platform now.
 
The Maxima is bigger, drinks more gas (3.5 instead of 2.5)) and cost a lot more in insurance. Perfect for a taxi, have a family or executive vehicule. I'd rather buy a G35.

i am pretty sure u mean the 230..the c240 isnt aval with a 6 speed gear box


the c230 sport sedan with a 6 sped for 299 month ( i think 5 K at siging)


the c230 now has a 6 cyl with a 6 speed its fun

6 spd manual ? I thought they came with either auto speedshift tranny or sequential gearbox ?

o well ill never even see one

a dealership by me had a ad for for sale

it was a coupe tho

CLK amg DTM (not a benz dealer but a upscale used lot)

with 600ft-lbs of torque, better not have a mis shift with your std. tranny (ah the smell of a burned clutch !). Even the SLR comes with the 5 speedauto tranny and speedshift feature. I know that Benz used sequential gearbox for GT series because they didnt allow full auto tranny.

1) The Altima is one of the best family sedans out there, so that's saying a lot for its chassis and platform.

2) The Maxima engine is one of the best engines out there (and has been for how long now?).

3) The Maxima trim, for what you pay, makes it pound for pound one of the best bang for your buck sedans you can possibly buy. Do you know all of the features you get with a Maxima?

1) She's got a kid, bigger isn't bad.

2) You can transport more.

3) The G35 drinks more gas then the Maxima and is more expensive on insurance.

4) G35 sedan is ugly.

still abit sore, some muscle spasms, can't sit up for too long. A bit of vertigo when i get up sometimes. But i feel im getting alot better.

I love the 2006 3 series (beamer haters, flame on)

you can get a stock 325i for 380/month with no more than 1500 out of pocket (you gotta work the salesman, dont let them rip you off)

you can get a loaded 325i with the works for 450/month with no more than 1500 total out of a pocket

Never Put 5k down on a lease...its a waste.

i wouldn't get a benz.. not used at least.

look for something middle of the road.. accord sounds good.. camry.. etc.

my bad nugga. I fuckin love the e90. My buddy has one and everytime im in it I love that shit more and more. I really liked the e46 coupe (ci) but not the sedan. I plan to lease the e90 sedan for 2 years then get the new M3 when im done. I have always wanted a BIMMER so while im young im gonna get me one.

THe m35 sport is HOT but I wanna go NON-JAP for once.

ummmm u better be the HNICthe new m3 is gonna be like 80 grand (comes out in 08 and will be waiting list for at least the first 2 years)


hell ok the 2006 e46 m3 (current m3)... ppl still pay sticker for those things and its been out since 2001....

plus can u even drive a m3 in jersey? snow tire/wheel package? 19s in on ice would suck i bet

how do does some one drive a car in snow? is it hard?

they keep the roads/major highways fuckin spotless around here. (one good thing about living in an urban area) so i dont care about the snow. . Forget the M3 if its gonna have a waiting list. i would never get the older model. (06) . if you live in the suburbs (or rural area) and you have a E90 with low profiles you are shit out of a luck. the handling is pitiful.



on the e90 the 24 month lease payments are cheaper. I been researching.

Erzulie this guy is smart. The Altima/Maxima platform is one of the most underrated today.

And the rest of you need to take the sauerkraut from your eyes and your lips off the German dicks. European cars are, at best, "boutique" brands. When you see people driving them, it's like those rich people who obviously paid hundreds of dollars for hideous clothing but don't know any better.

bought the altima, damn smooth ride, i loved the one i had before. The altima from what i understand is the same damn engine just different body on the same frame.. and quiet frankly, i prefer the altima body over the maxima

hey buddy....I had a maxima, i had an accord, and I had an acura tsx. I know those cars are quality "Great for the money" cars. Test drive a bmw, drive it hard around a curve and you will know why people buy that shit. its a whole new driving experience.

That benz was a whole new driving experience for me. Felt like i was fucking driving on air. Didn't feel or hear a damn thing, smooth, fast, and sleek

omg, i fucking loved that damn car, and i looked damn good in it :verygood:
 
I used to be an auto mechanic. I have driven Porsches, Audis, BMWs, Benzs, Chevys, Fords, and everything in between.

There is almost nothing about a BMW or Benz that is really applicable and worth it in daily, a->b driving. All that tells people about you is that you are desperate to portray an image that isn't even contemporary any more.

The Maxima is a FWD with around 280HP which means a bad torque feeling in the steering. I can tell you that usually for someone with no fault loss, insurance would probably come up to the same. Now if the G35 sedan is ugly, that's very personal.

Not that bad. trust me. Our winters in Montreal are 10x worse and lots of people drive RWD including myself. With a good set of tires (Michelin Pilot Alpin for example) you should be fine.
 
Toyota,Honda,Acura and Mitsubishi are good cars for my opinion. Gas saver, Last Long and good engine. Autotrader is a good site to shop for used or new cars. :)
