Car accident

Hello all. My bro asked me to come on here and ask for some opinions. (This is my bros account). He was in a car accident and rolled his car four times. The anterior section of L1 vertebrae is compressed and fractured. T12 is somwhat damaged and it is expected that T12 and L1 will fuse together with about 95% range of motion. The doctor said L1 will heal at 17 degrees without surgery, or they could do surgery and put pins in. Just wondering what everyone elses opinions and experiences are with this sort of condition, or any if you have any suggestions to maximize healing please share.
