I'd try to get some var bro. It will help you hold on to your gains and be easier to take while you recover. Could run it for 8 weeks while you recover to stop muscle waste.

I remember someone saying before that 40-50mg/day will help with muscle waste. Same kind of situation back then when the answer was given. If your doctor gives you that, he rules.

Low dose gear and light cardio. I was out for a while once with broken ribs and a broken hand and I got so fat it was unreal. When youre used to eating like a bodybuilder your appetitie stays high even when not working out which can lead to a lot of fat gain. It was very hard to get get sub 10% but I got there in the end, that would be my advice amigo.

Keep the diet as clean as possible and do light cardio, don't rush back to the weights. A couple of weeks on the safe side will not make much of a difference but going back early could put you back months.

Good luck bro!

I would try to cut my diet and do as much cardio as possible, if you go back to the weights, you could hurt yourself even more.

Mate i fucked my rotator cuff when i dislocated my shoulder playing rugby, it took a year of physio and a lot of fuckin about to get it back to norm. But itll never be the same, be careful and dont rush into the weights too quick.

4-5 months is tough, Im going to be looking at that sometime in the future. I think there is 1 of 2 gameplans.

1.) Eat like a pig, gain fat but keep more muscle.
2.) Do cardio and low dose AAS - lose muscle but keep tone.

I think Im going to do #2.

Yeah mate, get fit, tone up, and when you get back into the weights you will be at a good level of natural strength due to the fitness. You will look better and feel better, and you should gain quickly enough.
