Can't grow Biceps!

I would like to get suggestions from the vets...

My biceps will simply not grow. I am getting stronger, but can't tell any size gains at all!

5x5 standing barbell curls
2x8 dumbbell curls

My last set varies, preacher or a machine.

Anyways, the rest of my body is exploding, but my biceps are asleep!
 
Do your Bi's extend from shoulder to elbow if you look at them while having your arm extended? Having short biceps(where the muscle may only go 1/2 way from shoulder to elbow), makes it very hard if not impossible to develop biceps. Calves are another muscle where alot of people tend to have this genetic deficiency. I'm not trying to be a pecimist(sp?) here bro, but it could be the case. This is the reason you hear of bodybuilders getting implants in those areas.

Anyhow(after that good news, right), here are a few other exersises to try for you:

1. Concentration Curls.

2. Standing curls on the Cable crossover--where you put the pulleys up high like you would if doing cable crosses for chest. Allow you arms to extend, and then curl them in as if you were hitting a front double bicep pose.
 
How many calories do you take in? I have noticed that some people don't realize that it takes 10-15 lb's of extra weight/muscle to put an inch on muscles like bi's, tri's and shoulders or chest.
 
Also where are your back and biceps in relation to each other?

Are you training these muscle groups on the same day? Different days?

Spill your guts. I also agree about the calories and weight gain.
 
My back is fantastic! I just hit a 405 PR today with deadlift.

I train biceps on the same day as tris.

I am bulking right now, so my cals are anywhere from 4000 - 5000 per day. I weight 234 right now. Around 20% BF right now.

Funny thing, my triceps are growing like mad! My chest is also making good gains.

Atomic Punk: I would say that my biceps do extend from my shoulder to elbow. Your standing cable crossover sounds interesting... You wouldn't happen to have a link to a picts or vid would you?

hit your tris hard w/ohp's and tate presses. when i started hittin my tris harder and quit trainin bis my arms grew overall in size quite a bit. rows and events helped my bis im sure.

It also may be that your routine is causing your bi's to overtrain. It may not seem like a lot, but biceps can easily be overtrained. I have seen my best results from lower volume. In addition, you may be doing bi's to close to back day and may be hitting a lot of bi's when you work you back. Many people use to much bi's on back lifts when can lead to overtraining.
 
Incline Dumbell Curls allow a stretch and range of tension that you just can't get any other way, and I believe they have EMG tested the highest for biceps. I know for me they have given me the worst (best) DOMS I've ever experienced in my bi's.
