Just make it your passion dude. Once it becomes part of your daily routine, it's easy. You actually feel like crap and fat if u DON'T workout. :)

He's been doing it quite awhile, man...

New personal record after 24 years of lifting (post #1)

I just posted this on the anabolic board, but I'm proud of the achievement so I'm posting it here too. I turned 38 a week and half ago. Tonight I decided to rep with 225 to failure because my shoulder is hurting and I didn't want to go heavy. The most I've ever done is 225x24, tonight i hit it for 27 reps. Stronger than ever at the age of 38. Don't quit training if that is your passion.

I really appreciate that. I never look forward to working legs. I've been squatting for the past 3 months and I go for 20 reps with 315 which is a bitch. I have to lie on the floor for a few minutes to recuperate between sets. My knees have also been aching and I'm not sure if it's the squats or playing basketball on Sundays.

No problem- it was a memorable post.

315 for 20? Ouch. High rep squats = :worried:

Psyched up now. Had a cup of strong coffee and ready to hit it.

Once a week, I'm always reminded why I don't like working legs. I don't think I have enough energy left to go out tonight.

But at least, I would hope, you have a sense of accomplishment now that you are done. Should feel better that you didn't just blow it off.

Yes. I rarely ever blow it off. I like to use the line that Jack Lalayne uses. Everytime I complete a workout, I look in the mirror and say, "**** you've done it again."
