Just wondering if anyone has some ideas on adding size to their pets.I have male pitbull terrier who will be 2 in september and Id like to beef him up a little.I know it all comes down to exercise & nutrition.Iv heard putting a harness on & letting him drag around an old tyre would help.Maybe even work him out on the sand dunes at the beach.Id love to hear from others who have ideas that may work.

You could probably rig up something pretty easy, though.

Im not hinting around for someone to suggest that I give steriods to my dog.My bad,I should have been more pecific & have only left myself open to criticism.I just want him to fill out a bit more and gain some muscle as he is still quite lean despite eating very well.

First of all he does have a great home with me & the thought of giving him steriods didnt even cross my mind.He has a bad enough attitude as it is without adding to his already obnoxious nature.I dont know how it works where you come from but over here if he was to go to a shelter it would be instant death row & he'd be put down with in weeks.I dislike how people mistreat animals also & thats why I took him in.I dont need to make him fight,he does that all own his own without any encouragement from me.My brother inlaw was going to shoot him coz his ears were a little too big & didnt like the way he looked if I didnt take him in & when I got him he was fucking starving & was built like a whippet.I love that dog & he eats before I do.It took me along time to get his trust & Im only now able to put him on a lead because he used to piss himself every time I tried to walk him until I figured out he had the absolute shit flogged out of him with a chain.Out of all the different breeds Iv had over the years,he is by far the most loyal,loving & protective one Iv had yet.

You also have to givethe baby time to grow. Much like us, they get better muscle as they get older... They will not reach full muscle maturity until about 4 years of age. My male is now 4 and has put on a good bit of weight in the past year. He has reached his full maturity and looks awesome.

Pits are indeed the most loyal dog. And their undurance is incredible, they don't know their limits, if they enjoy a game and you ask them to play, they would literally do it until they die, hence some idiotic facks thinking it would be great to use that trait to fight the poor loving dogs.

It's just so sad that some industries are portraying them as such a bad animal, therefore encouraging losers to acquire them for a very bad purpose...

I was a pitbull owner, and trust me, your dog will fill out just fine on it's own. My pit was scrawny for the first couple years and then blam! she filled out like a horse. She would carry around 60lb tree trunks in her mouth like it was nothing. those dogs are amazingly strong without any out of the ordinary exercise! There is no need to do anything extra, unless you're a dog fighter....and if that's the case, you need to be beaten profusely about the head and neck.
