Cancun, Springbreak,, urgent question

Sorry that this isn't exactly the correct forum,, but I'm running out of time here =(...

Need some cool advice for Springbreak 2002 in Cancun.

Me and a bro r going there in two days, and I'll be staying for 2 weeks. (7th - 21st).

We boutght one of those last minute tickets,, so we havn't planned anything!

The thing is,, Im from sweden so our travel agency is probably going to try to swindle us with some party package that ain't the bomb... We now we can have a good deal of fun,, but how??? I've been hearing a good deal about Cancun...but i have some questions...


VIP wristbands and shit like that...are they worth it, and where can I get them?

Liqour,, im +21,, where do I get ahold of good vodka and stuff like that... we gotta stock up in the hotelroom =) ...


And the most important question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CANCUN or PLAYA DEL CARMEN????????????????

I've got a ticket where I can choose from a hotel in Cancun or Playa del Carmen.... Wich is the best/hottest/coolest choice =) ??????

Hey man

If you want to party, stay in Cancun . Cancun is like the number 7 and you want to stay near where the angle meets to form the 7. I paid $600 for air from Washington DC, hotel, all you can eat/drink at the hotel. Pretty good deal. As for VIP wristbands, its something the club /hotel offers. Better off drinking at the bar in the hotel to get shit faced and go to the clubs for one or 2 drinks. Lines are way to long for the all you can drink at the bars/clubs.

Playa de carmen is a really nice resort. More for a couple thing and family thing. But really nice resort.

The jungle tours, snorkeling , are fun to do during the day.

Also, take the bus wherever you go. Only 5 pesos per person, or 50 cents US dollars. Be aware that the local drivers will try to jip you . Same goes for taxis, expensive and rip offs.

The hotels will have a theme for every nite and you can catch a ride with them for free and take off on your own .

As for liquor, buy it at the duty free shops in the airports.

daddy O's is the shit and nothing beats it, after i had 17 flamin dr peppers i found myself being carried to my hotel room. i woke up the next day to get into the pool(which by the way i was at the sheraton) and a shitload of girls were saying hey mike! i looked at them with confusion.. turns out i did alot i didnt remember have fun and stick with cancun
ps- buy a package, it wont be the same without one. i paid a wopping $200 for mine, but it was weeeell worth it

I paid 480$ for my trip,, 2 weeks with a hotel.. Keep in mind i'm traveling from europe. We don't have any AI-deals from our travel agencies... sux =(



I'll stick to Cancun i guess,,, ppl say Playa del Carmen is cheap,,but im here to f-ing party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Builder Benny, you have to hit The Myth, it's a great new club that opened last year. The wrist bands (VIP package) can be a good idea if you get the right one. We payed $150 and got a meal plan and were able to get in free to a different club each night with out waiting in lines, also, it allots for free time drinking at a different pre-party. THe company is Student Travel Services and is located in the Continental Villas Resort. Ask for Joquin. (sounds like wakeen) And def. stay in cancun, playa de carmen is for you and your girlfriend. You can buy liquor anywhere, try the big mall across from the Villas. Have a good time and Via con Dios! Maybe i'll see you there.

I'm pretty in on what places sounds cool during nighttime...

But what about days?

I mean,,, best beach, where all them chicks hang out =) ,, any good place to eat (cheap vs expensive)...

You have to do The Great Snorkeling Adventure

Dude this trip is awesome (The great snorkeling adventure). They take you on a bus to Puerto Muerelos. There is a huge reef. They feed you and beer you. It is about $70 per person for about 8 - 10 hours. You go out three times on the water and they feed you some great food. I have been to Cancun 4 times and do it everytime. If you get some time go to Chichenitza (spelling) and climb the pyramid. I also went to Xcaret and swam with dolphins and underground caves. The water is cold in the caves but is cool . . . Try to stay close to downtown. If you do an all inclusive - drink at the hotel and then go out. Otherwise buy a wrist band. Oh yea do not forget to do the party boat. Dude I guarantee you will find some women and have a killer time. Even ugly guys can get some action in Cancun. Hope this helps. Oh yea when you do the party boat make sure that a guy named "mosquito" is on your boat - this dude is funny. We have partied with him twice. Don't forget the cuban cigars and have a great time!!
