I am going to Canada in December (what a great frikin time to be heading to the land that will hit minus 20?).

Ok so It's Montreal, please fill me in on what the weather is like at that time and what can be done for fun?

Well, I've been to buffalo and right across the border during the winter time and holy shit bro it's cold and snows like a motherfucker.

Im from texas and never been there so i cant contribute constructively to this thread.

Winter coat, boots, gloves, hat or equivalent. Reality is, we are cold in December. Not usually extemely but cold enough -10 to -20 in December is pretty much the norm but it could be warmer best to check with the weather channels just before leaving.

Montreal is cold at that time of year but the night life is awesome and it is a student town so there is lots of good partying young tang about.

Wife beaters and some sweet dolphin shorts!

December ? Last year we had over one foot of snow beginning late november till early march. The year before ? Nada in december. Just concrete lol Dunno about this year. But here it's not a big deal. Even with 2' subway, bus and everything isnt really down. Just a bit more traffic but who cares.

So basically what you all saying is Montreal is boring as fuck :(

Are you fucked out of your tree?

Montreal has a sick nightlife and probably one of the funnest places in canada to go. I fucking hate french-canadians (sorry) especially the french speaking ones! But I can't wait to go to montreal to party.

Best strip clubs in the country too from everything I've heard.

If you can't find a good time in montreal you should check your pulse because you might be dead.

hahahahaha

I'll be there with my partner so no chance of clubs, clubbing or strippers and I don't cheat either.

So basically what you're saying is Montreal is boring as fuck for matured men :)

Welllllllll perhaps!!

haha, since I'm not a matured man, I don't really know what you like to do for fun?

I'm sure they have some interesting curling.. and uhm..

fine dining??

Check out a Canadians game that would be a blast even if you sort of half like hockey, but I wouldn't recommend cheering against the home team, it could be detrimental to your health those Habs fans are craaaaazy.

I mean is there anywhere I can book a challet, is it too cold for fishing? Just wanna stare out the windows over a log fire with a joint in my hand and puff puff puff away. Nice food, wine and so on.

:)

I hate cold weather but am being forced to make this trip :(

I will cheer on the other team to stir it up a bit :)

I like doing that.

What else is there? can i get a snow jet ski what ever they called?

Will there be snow?

Yes, on the chalets, great restaurants and doobage but no on the fishing.

Don't even think about it.

Maybe. As Manny pointed out, last year around Christmas there was plenty of snow but none the year before. Winter is just getting started in early December.

Ahhh ok cool...

Am I allowed to talk while they are singing the Canadian national anthem or will I get my ass thrown in jail?

So can I ride snow jet skis in Montreal?

Seems other than clubs and partying you all don't have much to do in the winter?

In Quebec it could get you elected.

Just whatever you doooo

doooo not cheer loudly for the opposing team, ESPECIALLY if montreal is losing the game.

you won't end up in jail but you could lose your life.

they won thier first playoff round last year after not doing that for what like ten years or something.. and just for the FIRST round, they burnt something like 11-12 police cruisers..

those fuckers be crazy.

Friendly, have you ever set foot in Quebec?
Your lack of hockey knowledge leads me to question if you're even Canadian. 10-12 yrs???... see Google.
It's ok to cheer for the other team. This is not Philly or Boston. :verygood:
