But what do you expect when an Olympic event is based on subjectivity? I can't stand that medals are won and lost based on judges. As far as I'm concerned, anything that is won by judging is not a true sport.

football, baseball, track and field, basketball, hockey, swimming = sports

figure skating, diving, rythmic gymnastics = recreation.

Practically all sports have some instances of Subjective judging or refereeing. Even timed events have ways to be judged or ejected.

Tell a x Meter High Diver that his sport is only recreation and see how you feel when he invites you up the tower to see.

I respect the athleticism and skill of diving. But it is ridiculous that you could train for years and get beat by someone who selected a nicer pair of speedos than you did.

Who know's what goes through these judges minds?
