If you come to vancouver drive down east hastings street...
You will see some SERIOUSLY fucked up people.... I'm talking crack heads stumbling and whaling their heads on bus stops... people in tents! Gang members selling crack... tricks being flipped left right and center... its a good time... plus you can go to "Blunt Brothers" its a cafe where you can smoke dope inside.. lol

That should keep you busy for at least a couple hours.

Nope. I truly can't stand Montreal. St.Catherine ST. is always full of assholes, the bars are always full of assholes, and the place is so damn expensive.

Just had a million bad experiences with montreal. I will never go there again if it can be helped.

you went to the wrong places, the tourist trap, "ste-Cath/Crescent street". The place to be is St-Laurent street.

i love montreal. if i didn't have to spend $100+ a night at B&B's, i would be there every weekend.

I've been there once. Yes, I stayed a block away from Crescent.
Traffic during the jazz festival weekend was insane, all the main streets were like miles of parking lots at 2 am.
Otherwise the area was really cool .. but overall I hear that Montreal is only good in summer.
