Can you love yourself too much?

vixenbabe

Classy Skank
Is this possible? I read an article and found this subject very interesting....

1) Can you take criticism?
2) Are you too critical of other's?
3) When things go wrong, do you blame everyone else but yourself?

Low self -esteem sucks the joy outta life, but excessive self -love can actually be dangerous too.

Thoughts?

1) Can you take criticism? Yes, I advise all my close friends to criticize me, tell me whats up, it only can help.
2) Are you too critical of other's? Never actually, I'm quite understanding of others.
3) When things go wrong, do you blame everyone else but yourself? When things go wrong I just accept it and blame no one, thats just the way the cards fell for the day. No worries! Jah is life. peace

Let me just say I am glad there are so many perfect ppl on here.....maybe I can learn something from them

Like Telly Savalas once said, who loves ya, baby?

I can't take critsizm. I curl up into a fetal ball and scream at the walls till my next shot of thorzipan shows up.

No such thing as being too critical off all you mere mortals.

Well I'm perfect in every way so by logical conclusion it must be your fault!

  1. Yes, providing I am given an example of the behavior in question.
  2. Critical. Perhaps. My standards and expectations are as high for others as they are for myself.
  3. Blame wastes time. It's better to focus on a solution or a new plan of attack.
    [/list=1]

And yes, I know people that appear to love themselves a whole heck of a lot but that's before they let their guard down.

I'm with Havoc....I like when my friends kick me in the teeth with things I may not see about myself. It kinda brings us back to earth once in awhile. I do know my flaws and limits as well.

No one is perfect, Momma! I admit, I am very critical of the people in my life at times. I work on this daily to be honest!

Wodin, you WOULD be perfect if you did not talk like Gomer Pyle!

:)

O no Vix, there are god like ppl on here.....they are the know all to end all.......bow down....

1) I have always taken criticism with a grain of salt. It depends on who its soming from on whether I pay attention or not. If the person means shit to me, it goes in one ear and out the other. If its a friend family member or someone I'm close to, I listen.
2) Sometimes.
3) No. I don't want to be like my father in that sense. I see that both of my parents are quick to assumptions and accusations so I try to steer myself in the other direction. If I start thinking like that, I catch myself.

You have to love yourself before loving anyone else or you're not going to be happy with anyone/anything. The more I am happy with myself, the more I walk with confidence, the more I keep a smile on my face and my head upright............the more I notice how insecure others are.
