I went to GNC(yeah, I know) yesterday and they had 2 three pound tubs of Isopure whey isolate with an expiration date of 07-05 that they were selling for 12.50 ea. It was vanilla(which i don't care for) but it was normally like 40.00 ea. I bought them both with my gold card...came to like 18.00. Anyway i have a little bit of an upset stomach and was wondering if they could be bad or something...I really didn't eat anything else out of my ordinary diet. I mixed it with water and started feeling bad about 5 hours later.

Nutritional Supplements are subject to a 'best before' date just like any product which is meant to be ingested. The essentail nutients within your whey product will deteriorate over time and you also have to be aware that whey is comprised of milk solids and egg albumen which are organic conpounds. As long as the seal on the containers where intact and the product was processed in a hygenic manner, it is unlikely that it is the source of your problem as it is well within the expiry date [dates are usually placed several months prior to the actual, expected, expiry date]. Other soucres of contamination could be the water, glass, or mixing utensil.

Maybe you just picked up a bug from the GNC store as I always feel sick when I walk past one of those places. :D
