Can Whey be stored in liquid?

The main issue with this is the fact that when mixed with a liquid, whey protein becomes a nutrient-rich soup for bacteria.
LOL -- reminds of something funny that happened to me when I was in school. As a typical college guy, my room was always a mess. Once, after drinking a shake from a shaker bottle, the bottle got lost in the clutter of my room. A couple days went by, and early in the a.m. I awoke to a loud 'pop' like a muffled gunshot. A colony of bacteria bred into a metropolis and the pressure buildup from the gas they emitted caused the top of my shaker to blow off of the bottle. It smelled like a dead body in my room

That is a good point about the bottled drinks. That raises another question in my mind. From what I have learned it seems that if protein is sterilized with heat then that would make the protein in them denatured or unuseable.

if protein gets denatured (and hence useless) from heat then we would be eating raw meat, raw eggs etc. heat won't do anything to change the protein as far as muscle building is concerned. it's just a matter of hygiene. i keep my office shake refrigerated and it remains almost that way till i drink it. it doesn't spoil.

Yeah good point. Didn't even consider that. Must not make a difference. Doesn't effect the absorption of the amino acids whether or not the protein molecule is denatured. Should not matter much if it is still drinkable.
