Can someone explain farmers walk?

Sorry guys, tried searching but could not really find what I was looking for.
Could someone please explain what/how to do a farmers walk?

Farmer's walks are where you hold a heavy weight in each hand and walk with them. Usually it is a distance for time event in strongman. Sometimes you are required to make turns, and other times you just go in a straight line. Most farmer's implements are made of large cylinders with handles welded on.

If you don't have the time / money/ resources / storage space you can just buy two EZ curl bars and slap some plates on each.

i would think the balance wouldnt be so hot for farmers walks. i can load up my implements pretty good and its very balanced.

You are right - it's not. But, this may have its advantages (increased difficulty). Also, I live in a city and an apartment and drive a car. What that means - there are not many areas near me where I can strongman train, my apt is too small to keep many implements in, and my friggin trunk is already draggin cause of all the implements and weight I keep in it!

Move to the country or get a truck . I luckily have a park right out my door. Now I just need to get implements.

LOL. When my lease is up next June I am going to look into getting a truck for this reason.
