Can police dogs smell through coffee?

Got this from a buddy on another forum who REALLY needs help!! "ok... this story is kinda long so bare with me. I have been buying my juice from a guy who lives about a block from me. Ive known him for years but we are not friends or anything. I recently purchased about 1000 dollars worth of stuff from him. So I was driving to work today and saw a few cop cars outside his house and was like holy shit!! I drove back home, got my stash and hid it in my backyard. Now, my ? is... if the cops DO search my house, what exactly do they do, search by hand or bring in dogs? If they DO bring in dogs, dont coffee beans throw off the scent?? What I have done is hidden my gear inside a bag of coffee beans and put them in a small metal container and put them inside my computer. Will this stop them from finding it if I do get searched ?? HHHEEELLLLLPPPP!!!! "

anyways... i think your being paranoid...
but you should move the coffee/roids from your computer (if its in there).....
its in a metal box..and if there is any static or the metal touches the wrong thing.....your computer will be fucked...
also it might be blocking the flow of hot air in your computer...its a pretty serious risk...but if you dont give a shit about your computer go right ahead....

you should go over to this guys house and talk to him.... dont call him....if its a bust the phone will obviously be tapped...

You should not worry too much because it is not that easy to get a search warrant.

Dogs aren't trained to smell steroids. Just make sure it's not somewhere they'll find it by looking...

Wouldn't be much of a way for the dogs to smell steroids, especially packaged roids, like amps or blister packs. But if they are trained to smell for certain items, they can smell it through layers upon layers of different smells. Haven't you heard of cocaine dealers, wrapping up their coke in saran wrap, wash it, bag it, more saran wrap, wash it, bag it, more saran wrap, wash it in gasoline, saran wrap, then put it in the gas compartment in the car, and the dogs can still smell that shit like it was out in the open. Don't fuck with dogs, they're good at what they do.

But as far as you go, don't sweat it.

When I was in the navy I worked for a whiel with a naval police dog trainer. He described something to me about how dogs smell things...

He said when you make a cake you take some eggs... some flower... some sugar... etc and each has a seperate smell to you before you add it. Now you bake that cake and you smell cake... but that dog smells eggs, flower, sugar etc...

I have nevr heard of dogs being trained to sniff juice and I highly doubt they could smell through amps or multi use vials...

I wouldnt sweat the dogs but i would sweat your exact directions you placed and the officers doing their search... If it even gets that far...

Well, technically, they can smell anything. Its only a matter of what they're trained to spot. They're starting to train the fuckers to smell ecstasy now as well.
