Can people with bad genetics compete??

Here's my dilema...

I want to compete one day but I have VERY bad genetics. I've done very large cycles and not gained and now have decided to not come off for a year or longer but even with all this I'm maxed out at 217 at 5'10 without beeing very cut. I follow a perfect diet along the lines od dog crap's guidline but have to modify it because my body wants to gain fat before muscle...

I see people around me do one cycle a year and eat 100 grams of protein a day and drink 2-4 times a week who are much larger and more cut than I am. I know I have the desire to work harder than anyone I know but what can I do to beat these genetics freaks?
 
honestly bro I have shitty genetics also I iwll never be a monster. keep working at it if you put your mind to it you could get to a respectable size.
 
I was hoping that over a year or two I could get to 240 and compete at 210... Its gonna take perfect work and it sucks watching other people eat and train like shit and blow me away
 
Stop labelling yourself as having shitty genetics, and making excuses. So what if you gain some fat if you eat a lot, you have to. I'd be willing to bet that your nutrition is out of wack. Eat, eat, eat, eat! Use only compound movements when you train. You will make progress.

I started at 144.5lbs at nearly 6'4. I am now up to 260. I used to say the same shit you do. When I finally stopped the negative self talk, and got to it, is when I made progress.

Now if you had a waist naturally as large as your shoulders, then you would have some problems. LOL

Yeah I know but has anyone else ever done 1000mg test and 300mg dbol for 10 weeks and gained 7-8 pounds?

I'm not letting genetics stop me I take it as a personal challenge me vs nature but should I keep it on a personal crusade to get bigger or take it to trying to compete?

IfI have any shot I want to do it but I dont want to try and then get to a show and be blown away by the freaks...
 
Jesus bro.....you did that much on your first cycle? What does your diet look like? Are you sure your gear was legit? I think if you didnt experiance some sides on that cycle you got some bad stuff. We can help you out a little maybe if you post your diet/training
