Does it look like I could get this thing apart and use it for a squat rack? I can't tell...don't have the machine yet, but, am getting it..maybe

That is one for McGuiver. I am sure you could. I would use carriage bolts instead of nails or screws, where applicable, for strength purposes. That one would be fairly easy.

yes, I do....in fact I have 2 on the go...one is running out soon....other is on for another 6months or so.....it's just some days I feel like working out in the afternoon or morning and I can't get to the gym then...I've got 3 kids....it's either I go at night or not at all.....if I had something like this, I wouldn't be so restricted.....I have some weights already, I'd just like a relatively cheap versatile bench........I just can't tell if this one comes apart at the back to use for a rack....I'll obviously have to go check it out in person to see...thanks all..
also, I'm limited on room here..

Looks like a waste of money to me...... Do you have a gym membership?

It looks similar to one I had a few years ago.
If it is then the answer is no.
The rack raises up, but not far enough for squats.
Sorry.

I had one of these fancy benches and I wished I had jest a good old bench with perhaps a recline and incline feature. Mine was very similar to that one but was Golds. :D

No you cannot use it for a squat rack. It is all one section. Also the fly attachments suck. If you look around the net, you should find some that have seperate components.....for about the same $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I don't care for the butterfly attachments...I just want the bench and a rack.....

I think if you spent your money on just a cheap flat bench and rack you would be better off. probably cost about the same money too.

well, when I first started looknig, my idea was whatever suits my needs and takes up the least amount of room, the better....but, yes, it looks like it'll have to be a bench and a rack.....
thanks for your help
