Hi, im new here so any reply would be a good one. I was wondering what is the best supplement on the market for gaining mass? I do a 4day per week program, chest/triceps monday, shoulders tuesday, back/biceps wednesday, and legs and abs thursday, with 1 rest day. I train to fatigue to try and make big gains, but as im a vegetarian i cant eat the good stuff like chicken or tuna. Ive tried certain powders in the past such as maxi-muscles Pro-gain and tropicans Great Stuff, but am getting increasingly frustrated at not putting on any kind of weight, although i am more toned. Can anyone help me? Im 21 at 150 pounds:(

To tell you the truth, you are ONLY the second person in my whole carrer of bodybuilding nutrition that has asked a question about putting on mass while being a vegeterian.
I will lay down some rules for you, which need to be followed in order to put on mass:
RULE 1: Drink 1 gallon of 1% fat milk a day
RULE 2: EAT whole eggs only, because the whole egg is full of amino acids that are complete
RULE 3: BEANS are good, and add a lot of soy to your diet
RULE 4: Have a protein drink with every meal (whey, or a blend) -:> try, www.proteinfactory.com ..cheap
EX: you have 5 eggs and 2 cups milk...well, mix the 2 cups of milk with a scoop of protein and drink that bad boy along with your eggs
RULE 5: Eat a lot of complex carbs, which, I presume, you are already eating at the present moment.

Here's another vegetarian. I think bignate said something like he was training a vegetarian a couple weeks ago so maybe he knows something.

Also beans and rice make a complete protein with all essential aminos.
