Calorie deficit

Quick question, I hate to ask something so simple yet I really need to know this to get my log started.

How many calories = 1lb of fat.

For example how many calories would I need to burn or deficit in consumptio to equal 1lb of fat?

I believe it is 2700 calories. Can someone confirm this or let me know the real number? Or does it depend per the individuals build.

I think it depends on the individuals build and the type of activities performed during the day.

There are no exact numbers for everyone because what works for one person may not work for other.

It is best if from your total maintenance calories you reduce 10-15% of cals and assess results, if you don't see results then increase the amount of activity or reduce other 10-15%.
