Ha Ha funny thing is I was mormon. I haven't been to church since my girlfriend corrupted me. There are mormons everywhere, utah mormons are like no other though. I got tired of the politics in the church, and had some church leaders bad mouth me and my sis. My sis got temple married, and those leaders daughters are some sluts!!!! Ha Ha. I'm the black sheep so it's all good. Utah's not all mormons though folks, you're forgeting the other 50% who fight tooth and nail to balance out the state. Salt Lake is fairly liberal compared to other citys here due to the mayor. I think it's funny how Utah is like number 1 for meth production. Damn tweakers.

I live in Utah and, yes, I am mormon. I quit going to church throughout high school and college but I'm going again. First of all, polygamy is not allowed. Second of all, the stereotypes of mormons being judgemental and self-righteous is not accurate. Yes, some are, but there are those types in any religion. The large majority are very nice and would do anything to help you regardless of your religious beliefs. If any of you actually knew very many, you just might like them. Why judge someone because they TRY to live by certain values.
What a bunch of BIGOTS you guys are.
Mr. Burns, you talk about how liberal salt lake is, well doesn't liberalism preach acceptance of others beliefs and practices, like homosexuality and shit like that. Well, WTF???? You ridicule and condem me because of my beliefs......that's messed up. You don't know me. You're being a hypocrite there bro!!!!
By the way, this mormon lifts at excel in North Salt Lake.

Yeah, I can have a temper if you hit the right button. I even edited it once after I calmed down and saw I should tone it down alittle. Neither detroitbodybuildertigers or your remarks bothers me. I can take a joke. But, Mr. Burns' remarks are out of a personal disliking of me based on my religion. If you knew the atmosphere and the hard feelings held by many against mormons in this state, you'd understand. I don't look like your typical mormon so people always talk bad about us right to my face not knowing I am mormon. It's funny to see them backtrack after I tell them I am as well. It's all good though. But, it is funny how hypocritical and intolerant "liberals" are in this state.

Bro, there is not one single mormon who practices poligamy. If they did, and someone found out, they would be kicked out of our church. Again, there are jerks in our church, but there are in any church and there are extremists in any church. There is nothing cultish about it. I am no different than you bro, really. I do what I want to do. Many things you hear about mormons isn't really part of the religion, like the soda and caffeine, they are not prohibited by any means, thats crap. Also, nothing replaces the bible bro, nothing!
I'm not going to get in any religious debates, it's not my style. But just know that there are just as many independent thinkers in my religion as any other. I'm no sheep. I believe what I want to and I do what I want to. The stereotypes are just not true.

How am I a hypocrit? I never said I didn't ever go to church. Who said it is required to go to church every week? And, who said I couldn't say shit? I never said I was perfect and I never said I believe every teaching. Nothing hypocritical about me.

I was mostly joking when I said that. I do go to church, just not every week, particularly during football season. And that is fine. It says nothing in scripture about attending your church meetings EVERY single week or about me saying the word shit. My religion is something between me and God and I use scripture as my guidance, not necessarily what other mormons say in church. If you think this is hypocrosy, then you should look up the definition of the word.

Who gives a shit about this Mormon shit? I live in SLC, lift at the 24 hr. in Sugarhouse. Moved here from Philly 7 yrs. ago. SLC is a great place. The church doesn't bother you unless you let it, and as much as you may want to be rude to the missionaries when they come to your door, it's hard. They don't judge, and are pretty stand up kids. People from here will appreciate this, but I went into Deseret Book to but the new Krakauer (sp?) book, Under the Banner of Heaven. The church doesn't like outside opinions. Way to go me. Getting away from the church topic, that is.
