You ever notice how people in other states seem outdated in the way they dress? I'm certainly not a fashionista but everybody in TX seemed to be 5 years behind the times.

Same here between NH and VT

way behind Mass in style, considering we are behind Cali damn TX has to be hurting
Yeah, but them Texan ladies are damn fine... :p
Oops, off topic... ;)

i'm so happy i live in southern cali...always something going on...wouldn't feel very fun living somewhere dead like kansas/texas/ohio/tennesee (sp? dont care..its TN lol)/colorado/etc.

2 states that actually matter - Ca/new york

lol JK im sure other states are cool too...ca is just a LITTLE bit more fun/action-filled :)

I am in southern cali and you do find a lot of peeps that know what is going on... but really most people just go by there own path... there are some crazy people and CRAZY dressers out here too... as far as real classic fashion I would say my hometown Vancouver, Toronto and New York is where its at for that...

Yay! Ya mentioned my hometown amongst these last 3!
;)

I will be a t shirt and jeans kind of guy until the day I die. I have a shitload of clothes that I've spent way too much on, but I never go anywhere to wear them. I always look damn good when I go to work, if I do say so...

You can just walk thru the airport and pick out the Cali people. They just look different.

my hometown is vancouver.... never lived in new york... I guess I didn't make that clear... I am 23

thats fine, i run into a lot of people here in florida from new york. i believe florida is new yorks retirement home. lol... but you do not look 23 nor do you sound like your 23. i guess your manerisms in your pics make you seem older. but that is in a good way. you look more mature is what im trying to say. most woman your age and your beauty arent as nicely spoken and mature looking. sorry, i had to compliment you on that. now i see why you are dating a guy that is 29. thank you for your openess and honesty. take care.

i see that. but think about how people in NYC think, they are a good 6 months ahead of Cali in terms of fashion.

Yes...I grew up in Houston and moved to California from San Antonio.

I got a cousin in Houston, her and I grew up together before they moved. Never been there, but she tells me it's pretty cool

Houston is ok...Huge.

I miss big country bars, cowboys, and two stepping. Don't really see that out here.

Please cite some specific examples. What would Texans wear today, that was fashionable five years ago in California?

I guess I'm lucky here, most people wear stuff that was never fashionable anywhere at any time.

They are all wearing that disco shirt DT posted one time. That shirt rocked. ;)

I don't notice a difference in how people dress in Cali vs Texas....maybe wear more clothes in Texas? Texas people are prettier. :qt:

I noticed the music was still a little behind the times...for example, here in the southeast, they still listen to Kenny Chesney....dang.

As if California, and it being a world-wide leader in fat women wearing bare mid-riffs they shouldn't legally be allowed -- is any different.

People here try so hard to be cool -- but fail miserably.

Well remember Texas always wanted to separate themselves from the US and be sort of their own separate country. Maybe that's what they're trying to do.

Oh wait... *Texas...52% hispanics. They ARE their own country... Mexico. HA! Congrats on realizing your dreams.

Don't tread on me.

man thats wrong. texas gave us a lot of great things, president Bush, cowboy hats and belt buckles, Gonorrhea, lol.... just kidding. if it werent for the spanish american war and texas needing the help of the U.S. they would be their own country if it werent for that reason. they were getting an ass wooping and needed help. in order to get the help they had to agree to stay part of the U.S.

People are mostly likely "behind" in fashion, if they choose to worry about that shit, in other places because California has Hollywood, w/ movie stars, always trying ot out do one another by wearing the newest things. So of course everyone out there is going to want to wear it too. Plus, how many clothes designers you know that live in Farmtown, Iowa?? Trends start from the big cities cause that's where the "fashionable" people live.

I'm not talking about people dressing up to go to a club or something. I mean just the normal clothes people wear to the mall or work or out to dinner. My roommate is from Iowa and she notices it too. Simple things like distressed boot cut jeans.

i know exactly what you mean dial...like people in texas wear corduroys (WOW wrong sp i know) and ugly flannel shirts and think its fashionable when it was fashionable in ca for about 5 minutes like 10 years ago

but texans look funny so i like em i guess :bfold: yeehaw
cali also has the best ladies yum yum yum :spatts: unlike texas: :daisy:

wtf, did someone actually just use "style" and "mass" in the same sentence?

Please, Mass' idea of style is an aeropostale hoodie and cargo pants.

The NYC area is where it's at. I feel most people around my part of CT know what's going on as well.

I'd have to agree that NYC area is fashionisticalized to the maximum. Remember, Jackangel lives here. He's a trend starter. Remember the hula hoop? JA started that.

Also... slurpies.
