Calculating keeping new gains

under

New member
After gaining say 10lbs or so. Is there a way to say, this is very general, but for the average guy, because I know eveyone is different, to calculate his new calories to just keep that muscle, so for every pound eat x amount of cals. etc...

Just as you normally would do. Just add 10lbs to the number you are using. :worried:

just keep eating bro, exact cals are tough, eat hella, like normal and continue to workout 4x a week, and get your sleep, just try and get your main meals as healthy and lean as possible, i take in 4 shakes a day w/44g of protein each, along with 10 raw egg whites a day as a staple for my protein, healthfood cereal is also a regular addition for me, nonfat yougurt, turkey, chicken, and then you dont feel so bad if you have some home made clam chowder for dinner, or biscuits and gravey for a snack. it may not be "clean" but as long as your getting those right cal's and continue to workout as you should, your body should do the rest. im off cycle now and looking better and more shreded than i was while on. gained 10lbs while on, but still have continued to shed fat and gain muscle. 5weeks since last deca shot. only ran @ 300mg for 7 weeks.

Yeah I eat clean anyway. But I just thought if there was a better way to calculate it, I would be good to go. I have a good diet already, I know how much food I need to add and now know how much to cut, but I would just to know scientifically or so if there was a rule of say 1lb = x amount of cals. Oh well more food it is then.

HOLY RUN ON SENTENCE!!

Well, if you use the calculation: bodyweight multiplied by 13 (cut), through 18 (bulk), one pound would be equal to whatever number (13-18) you are using to figure your total calories. So probably around 20 calories per pound on an AAS bulk. Personally, I would go higher, because I like to be big and fat.

but bro, none of these answers have any scientific backing, theyre nothing more than speculation.

That's true. That's why I said just guessing.

o bro, it wasnt aimed at you. props for trying to come up with an answer. im just telling the OP, how can you choose, when theyre all speculation.

I've seen many formula's on calculating how many calories to eat. I just eat a shitload, and If I am getting fat, I pick up my activity level. I like to burn calories through activity rather than calorie constriction. but then again I don't really participate in any shows, so I don't care what my BF% is.
