I thought you asked about EC last week & the ladies suggested it was a bad move because you are on synthroid.

I think you should follow Velvett’s advice & see what progress you can make with a proper diet. She posted this months ago (the first time) and you didn't make the changes. Last week she posted this again, please take her advice!

Also, as mentioned 20 times, you should try Gluceroll.

As far as caffeine raising insulin levels, here is a study stating that it did not effect 'healthy' people (since you have high insulin I don't know if this applys to you):

Here is a study stating that it does effect people with Diabetes:

Maybe someone else can help you in regards to caffeine/insulin levels, but I strongly suggest you follow the advice that Velvett gave you!

This is the deal, some studies say that if you ingest glucose (sugars) and follow it with caffeine your insulin levels will rise and higher insulin means fat storage.

Your thyroid meds should start to ease away the fatigue that goes with hypothyroidism but can take up to 4-6 weeks before you feel it and it could take a while before the right dosages set up.

So, in short you first goal is to get your food intake under control, get the diet solid and super clean, then add the maximum amount of exercise that will not further exhaust you but a enough to get things started (you'll have to listen to your body to know what is too little or too much).

I hear "you know you can't burn fat and caffiene at the same time" and I want to scream because the statement is not accurate or complete.
