Joe Smith started the day early having set his alarm
clock (MADE IN JAPAN) for 6 A.M.

While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA) was perking, he
shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG).

He put on a dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA), designer
jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE) and tennis shoes (MADE
IN KOREA).

After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet
(MADE IN INDIA) he sat down with his calculator (MADE
IN MEXICO) to see how much he could spend today.

After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN) to the radio
(MADE IN INDIA) he got in his car (MADE IN GERMANY)
and continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.

At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day,
Joe decided to relax for a while. He put on his sandals
(MADE IN BRAZIL) poured himself a glass of wine (MADE
IN FRANCE) and turned on his TV (MADE IN INDONESIA),
and wondered why he can't find a good paying job...
in AMERICA.

Just take the time to allow American's growth before the foreigners.

i got laid off from a mega corporation this past september... they basically rebox everything over here and they can say made in america on it... so even when you think it is made in america sometimes it isn't... mkaes it hard to truly buy american these days. If you buy a toyota camry for instance they are made about 30 minutes up the road in georgetown kentucky.... so basically they are american made, foreign owned and a huge and i mean huge, employer of americans... you are damned if you do and damned if you don't.

buy american???.......sometimes that's just not possible. Take motorcycles........I'm a college student, do you think I could afford an american motorcyle?? No I can't, not even used ones. Now I can can go out and get a couple year old japanese bike which performs better, looks the same as, and costs about 1/3 of what an american bike costs. It's a no brainer, if I want to enjoy two wheel riding I HAVE to buy foreign. This is just one example of where you really have no choice BUT to buy foreign......unless of course you're loaded, than you can afford american.

I agree with this also. I was going to buy another Mexican built Dodge but spent the money insted on my Ohio built Honda. Funny thing too about "American" motorcycles. I was at a HD dealership looking at the new VRod and then it dawned on me. Porche designed this motor and they are german and since the US beat both Germany and Japan in WWII I guess that makes the new HD equal to a jap bike? Is that the wrong way to think?
