Butibitol?

Anyone hear of Butibitol? It's for migraines. My mother was looking for it, so I said, "let me ask the bro's!!"

probably a perscription drug bro. check your doctor its a pretty easy to get a script if you are having migranes.

It's Butalbitol. I've heard mixed reviews of it. Works for some, not for others- pretty much just like every other migraine medicine. Usually coupled with caffeine. Run a search on any engine and you can find alot of info on it. Just make sure you type it in right- Butalbitol.

I've heard of "imitrex" for migranes, but it's a prescription.

It is actualy perscribed for tension and migraine headaches - the non-generic names for it are:
Fiorinal (Butalbital+Caffeine+Aspirin)
and
Fioricet (Butalbital+Caffeine+Acetaminophen)

It is Butalbital that's the generic name for Fioricet which is also prescribed for tension headache.

Anyway - it's fairly easy to get but note it is a barbituate so it's addictive, it has acetaminophen in it - so be aware of any allergies and from my personal expereince most migriane suffers do better with a Triprans.

There's a new one called Amerge that I actually like - she may be able to get a sample since it's being pushed a bit now.
