tobacco in a joint, or rather, weed in a tobacco cigarette is mainly a european thing. europeans cannot go without their tobacco.

weed in a cigarette is usually called a spliff. also makes for excellent incognito when you would like to smoke in more public areas (provided there isn't a whole bunch of weed mixed in).
