The package arrived CID - as in the Delaware County Criminal Investigation Division.
Officers made the undercover delivery at the Collingdale home of Steven Goldberg, 37, on Wednesday, about 11:15 a.m., according to Goldberg's arrest affidavit released yesterday.
Inside the package: Over 420 liquid injectable ketamine vials; five vials of Nalbuphine, 56 tablets of Tamoxate and 150 tablets of Spiropent.
Ketamine, also known as "Special K," is an animal tranquilizer popular among drug abusers.
By 1:30 p.m., Carmen Castelino, 33, of Ridley Park, arrived at the residence in the 1000 block of Minden Lane and, according to his arrest affidavit, made the pickup.
Both men were arraigned Wednesday on drug delivery and related offenses. Cash bail was set at $500,000 by Senior District Justice Leonard McDevitt.
Also charged was 28-year-old Christine Marie Capoldi, who resides with Castelino in the 200 block of East Chester Pike in Ridley Park. Her bail was also set at $500,000 cash.
According to the affidavits, a subsequent search of their Ridley Park residence netted drugbusters the following: Two ounces of cocaine; one ounce of methamphetamine; numerous Ecstacy tablets; OxyContin; steroids; three handguns; cash; cutting agents; bagging materials; and a scale.
A subsequent search at Goldberg's also netted investigators cocaine, a box of Ganabol; 19 Spiropent pills; a bottle of Inositol commonly used as a cutting agent and Ziploc bags.
Preliminary hearings are pending before District Justice Peter P. Tozer.
Postal inspectors and Collingdale police assisted in the arrests.
