I wanted to tell you dh got "supersize me" at the video store last night.
I plan on watching it with him tonight or sometime this wkend.
Just thought you'd want to know. Oh yeah, the dude at the video store told dh he hasn't ate mcdonalds one single time since he seen it. :laugh2:
I'll let you know what i think of it! ;)

YUP...hell supersize that baby too!!!!! Make your husband watch it too, and hmm get him a 1/4 pounder too, and ENJOY!!!!! :evil:

Once you've watched it, and ate your meal (haha), come and tell me the next time you'll be eating at McD's or Burger King or Harvey's ok ???
 
we are going to watch it together. And i am so NOT eating that crap. I'm doing too good to screw up. I know u guys are just kidding though.
I think i'm even going to try to skip the cheat meal this weekend ;)
 
That movie should probably be mandatory for all elementary & middle school health classes. Seriously.
 
Well I watched supersize me. Hubby kept falling asleep though.
I liked it, glad you guys suggested it. It is definitely good to hear how bad it actually is.
When that guy was getting his stomach surgery i started feeling light headed. :rolleyes: I told my hubby I could Never be a surgeon, can't even watch it. I am such a weinee.
Can't believe i've went thru 3 c-sections. eww! Surgery is gross. :worried: Sassy, I definitely think school age kids should see the information on this movie, but not the bad language and sex talk :worried: Kids need to know how bad fast food is. I am guilty of getting it for my kids probably too often. They are all toothpicks though. :) Need to come up with alternative eating plans when we're out for an extended period of time. Can't always afford the expensive dine in restaurants y'know.
Definitely is a turn off to fast food!!!

But do you remember what you loved the most as a kid? Obviously the shakes were killer, but the hamburgers & fries! The grease & salt! I loved it so much!

The last time I ate McDonalds was between my 2nd BB show's pre-judge & night shows - for protein, fat & carb to continue filling out for the night show. I was actually assigned to eat 2 cheese burgers. I skipped the cheese & went for the regular hamburgers because the last time I tried eating cheese while competition dieting I got major (gas). I could only eat 1 1/2 of those things even w/o the cheese. It was pretty gross.

But kids love the fat & the salt!

God that stuff is just so bad! Now I get oral orgasms from a piece of grilled fish w/ only paprika as seasoning!
 
I watched that movie recently, myself......How sad that our children are being fed crap at home & in schools that we know are so bad for us. It's a very sad & unfortunate byproduct of our busy lifestyles and kids now think of eating that way as "normal." Horrible, so horrible.

It actually made me angry in the movie when Morgan went to the school & they were talking about the gov't sponsored food programs.

I know I will NEVER eat that crap again, even tho I hardly ever ate there anyway. I worked at McD's as a teenager & that was enough to turn me off.
 
I don't know if I will ever get to the point where I don't LIKE the taste of the "crap". I know it's bad and i haven't been eating it lately. But I loooooooooooooooooove french fries. I think if i knew i was gonna die and had only one meal left it would have french fries with it. ;) Yep, french fries...fat ones, skinny ones, curly ones, Rally's, and broasted chicken thighs and drumsticks. :rolleyes: :rolleyes: OH yeah and mashed potatoes w/gravy. That'd be it!

OK!!!! If you put it that way, I guess I would eat Mc D's Fries Hands down...and some form of an awesome triple thick choclate shake :chomp: I'm sure I can think of more... but not gonna do it... wouldn't be prudent...

Ohhhhh I could think of many things...and it would be aloooooooonnnng list let me tell you, but I'm not going to torture you or me. ;)

Just curious miss24k, do u like being short or hate it? It didn't use to bother me, but now....well my daughter is almost as tall as me..and she's 10! :worried:

Cher, It's not something I can change and it makes me who I am, so I love it.

Seriously though, I don't drive, I don't need to I live downtown, and Montreal is a city where it's actually easier to get around without a car, we have 1 of the best transits in the world.
 
I look at little old ladies in the grocery and think, man she is so tiny. Then i realize "hey that's me in about 40 years."
So true, u can't change it...well except for your "hooker heels" :lmao:
The reason i asked about driving was to see if your thinking was like mine..i drive a big old Expedition. Man I feel like i'm the biggest person on the road :evil: , plus the gas and brake pedals move forward to accompany my shorty legs. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) Plus i'm always haulin my 3 kids and their cousins...friends..etc. and my boxer :)
