bulking on low carbs ?

Is this possible or do I need more then 1g carbs for every kg bodyweight?

If it's possible, should most of the carbs been taken after the workout or before?
 
Why would you want to? Carbs spare the protein for muscle growth/repairing, are generally cheaper than protein sources, and can give you energy for your workouts.

Are you afraid of getting fat?

As for when, it depends on when you workout. After the workout you should take simple carbs. Before and 1.5 hours after your workout should be complex carbs. You can gradually reduce carbs as the day goes on.
 
I wondered the same thing.

What I am presently doing is eating pretty much whatever carbs I want during the day, with 5g r-ALA per gram of carb, and a 100g carb drink after my workout (approx. 6:30 PM). I try to limit carb intake in the evening as I won't need them for energy during the night and may store fat.

I can't really tell if this practice is helping. I am a little leaner than usual, but maybe a little smaller too...

from what i've heard, a 3 to 1 carb:protein ratio is ideal for muscle growth
 
You can bulk with low carbs if you bulk with a keto diet. This means that you would be eating a shitload of fat though. Fat is the body's primary protein source when doing a Keto diet.
