bulking and cutting on same cycle?

Sounds kinda stupid but I have to ask :rolleyes: . Could you bulk for the first 6 to 8 wks. on a Test and EQ cycle, then reduce calories for the remainder and try to cut? Also, should you add some winny towards the end(last 3 wks.)? If so how much? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, this will work. Don't expect to gain a lot after only 6-8 weeks, then starting a diet. But I've seen people have success with it. They were only looking to gain a little bit and mainly cut. If you're looking for more than 5-10 lbs., then do a straight bulk, come off, then start a cutting cycle.

Satch recommended a cycle that sounded interesting to me where you alternate every 2 weeks. So 2 weeks bulking then 2 weeks of cutting. Yo-yo like this for the 14 week cycle. Sounds interesting to me and I might try it next cycle...
 
I did a 10 weeker once of sust. I stacked dbol weeks 1-4 then winny weeks 5-10 to try to bulk then cut. In my opinion, it's just too hard to go from eating 4500 cals a day and packing on mass to a cutting diet with cardio. Add to that the pumps I got from the dbol and I couldn't run a mile even if I wanted to.

Obviously there are different compounds you could try if you wanted to bulk then cut, but IMO it's a pain in the ass and I get better results if I do a bulker then a cutter.

Good point and one that needs to be expanded on. I remember years ago I tried the ABCDE diet. For those that don't remember it, you would bulk for two weeks and then do an extreme diet for two weeks. After several cycles I ended up right where I started. During the bulking phase you eat an enormous amount of cals. Then on the dieting part you eat very little. I gained way too much fat on the bulk and didn't quite lose it all on the diet. Neither phase was long enough to accomplish the specified goal.
 
I know a couple of very big very lean guys who will hit it hard for 12weeks and then transition to cutting for six weeks once their done with their 12 week bulking phase...whats interesting is they don't really change much as far as dose is concerned they might cut it back alittle but they focus more on caloric restriction and upping cardio in the cutting phase granted this will put the total cycle in the 18 week range or more even but you can get an idea of how its done.
