No new answer hear, but throw in weighted pullups. I can't tell you how much they ahve helped my back. I think you can add another exercise to really hit your lats. Here is my current back routine:

weighted wide pullups-10/8/6
weighted close pullups- 10/8/6
BO Rows-8/6/12
pulldowns/supersetted with high cable straight arm pulldowns(no idea what the exercise is called)-2x10

Try doing pullups first. Throw in machine-pulldows (variations in grip, underhand, close, etc) at the end of your workout to finish them off

the pull ups are you doing these wide grip or close grip?thanks for help guys karma to you all..... should i go 2 or 3 set

I do 3 sets of wide grip followed by 3 sets of closegrip. They are my main exercise for back width.

is this with your palms facing you or away?so then this is gonna hit my bis/brach pretty hard too...should i cut down on my curls /preacher curls? i do 3 sets curls 2 sets preacher 3 sets hammer curls dumbell...thanks

What are your splits?? Are you working your back with your biceps??

When I do my wide pullups it's with my palms facing away. With the closegrip my palms are facing each other. There is no question that pulls will your bi's s well as your back. I lift my bi's on a seperate day so they get killed on one day and then they also get hit not as directly when I lift back.

1. rows do directly hit the lats. Especially low rows and bent over rows unless you aren't leaning forward enough.

2. Pulldowns wide grip work more teres minor and long tricepts than actual lats. Use a narrower grip to focus in or even a v-grip handle.

3. Deadlifts are excellent as well as b-true's suggestions.

The main thing on rows is that you keep your elbows in and focus on squeuzing with your back.

This is an EXCELLENT recommendation!! This is all you need to build a wide back. You "might" want to add 2 sets of Pullovers(Machine or Dumbbell), instead of the Seated Pulley Rows to hit your Lats from a different angle.

are these your work sets? i go through about 4-5 warm up sets for deads alone before hitting my 2-3 work sets..the back is such a large body part its kinda hard to really overtrain it with 6 sets..
